Hi! I think I got to your site from the homeschooling group (since I'm always curious when I get a random message :) ). Anyway, I went to your website and I am just blown away by the things you make! My two boys have very sensitive skin and both get wind-chapped/burned very easily this time of year. Do you think you could make something that would help with that? Also, do you make anything I could put on their dry, cracked lips? (<-they despise ChapStik)

If you don't have time (because you are officially the busiest mom I know, after reading your profile!), I completely understand. I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask, though :)

Thanks,
Bonnie

I actually just made some lip balm for my boys - they love it. Can put it in a tub or tube. Body butter is excellent for wind chapped skin. If your little ones are young, I also do lotion bars that cut down on mess! Please feel free to email me at erin@bathcake.com with your specific needs and I'll be happy to design a product for you!

Ok, so that last reply was written in extreme haste! :) I just friended you, too. :)

Let's see... your boys look young so I would definately recommend lotion bars, they can rub them on themselves without getting lotion everywhere. I make them for my boys in ducky shapes since they like ducks but I can also do hearts, snowflakes, roses, cake (like the soap/cream cake pictures on the site), ovals or rounds with celtic knots, massage bar style, etc.

I do make lip balm now (its finally through testing) and it is available in tubes (like chap stick) or tubs (though my boys don't really like the tubs & using their fingers). The edible oils for these are mint julep, buttercreme, orange chocolate truffle, and many of the essential oils are also edible.

I don't have the lotion bars up on the site yet, but just sold some for $3 each. I don't have the lip balm up yet either, nor do I even have pricing worked up for it yet! :) I will get that up soon, or can at least provide pricing by email soon.

If they like baths, the bath cakes are fun and very soothing to skin - full of unrefined shea butter and essential oils if you choose.

The bubble cakes are a huge hit and make volumes of bubbles. They do have sodium lauryl sulfoacetate, a synthetic ingredient. This is NOT, however, sodium lauryl sulfate. In any case, it is a surfactant which can be drying, however it is balanced with glycerin which is a humectant.

That's a whole lot of rambling! Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns. :)
